Submissions

Have you been enjoying the show? Do you wish to partake in the performance? Your chariot has arrived!

Ahh–yes. The time has come to offer more than just a ticket to the show–you now have the chance to submit your ticket to us.

We only accept previously unpublished, original work (or work you still own the rights to–you know, stuff you haven’t sold to the devil or anything like that for a few bucks at the cost of your soul).

If accepted you will be published on the “Featured” page of the Ghost Town Theatre website, receive promotion through the Ghost Town Theatre instagram, and will retain full rights to your work. There is no cost to submit–and, in turn, your work is unpaid. You can proudly use Ghost Town Theatre for publishing credit, and will be able to further network with our community of writers, editors, and readers through our digital channels. Perhaps we work well together? Perhaps we are a fantastic fit? Perhaps we collaborate further, or you submit regularly and become one of our core contributors? Who knows? Anything is conceivable.

We publish poetry of all types, short stories of all genres, and creative non-fiction in all categories. To get a better idea of what we’re into, have a jaunt around the theatre after hours. There’s nothing to be afraid of–or is there? Our core philosophy: Make it cut, or make it fun–or, if nothing else, entice with intrigue.

We ask that you submit no more than three poems at a time, one short story no more than 5,000 words, or one piece of creative non-fiction no more than 3,000 words. Your work must be a .doc or .pdf file, and follow standard manuscript format, as cited here.
